Welcome to Tales to Tide You Over

 

I am Margaret McGaffey Fisk, a writer of novels, short stories, non-fiction articles, and even the occasional poem. My completed works, both long and short, fall into the science fiction, fantasy, romance, and young adult (both speculative and contemporary) categories. Fairy tales first drew me into writing, but my muse is happy to wander into any of the areas that I enjoy reading. Once an agent/publisher decides to take me on, I will specialize in the area that caught the editorial eye for a while at least, but for the moment I am exercising my creative muscles to build strengths across the board. As shown on the For Readers page, my successes in short fiction span a variety of the speculative fiction genres. Enjoy a peek at my latest fantasy:
