Keeping Up to Date

There are several ways to keep up with what I'm doing:

  • Read My Blog for:
    • Writing - where I discuss the process I've taken with various projects, what was difficult, what struck me as I worked, and what amused or inspired me. The posts are separated into novels or topics. Be forewarned that some of the posts may include spoilers.
    • Interesting Links - these links are culled from my market research, story research, and random links others have pointed me to that I think would be of interest.
    • Reviews - though I don't always succeed, I try to write a review of pretty much everything I read, looking at it from a pure enjoyment standpoint, though I will occasionally mention writing techniques I notice.
    • Stray Thoughts - this includes anything from philosophical, sociological, or political arguments (though I largely avoid the last) to amusing glimpses into the not-quite-mellow aspects of my life.
Note: I originally maintained two blogs, one at Blogger.com and one at livejournal.com. While I still have these accounts, they are reposts of the blog integrated into my site.

  • You can also follow me on Twitter. I usually post original content (non-replies) 2-3 times a day about writing and life.

My Publications

When the Shoe Won't Fit

This light fantasy short story tells of a girl raised as a fairy child who never fit in but didn't know why. It originally appeared in the online magazine Aurora Wolf, and is now available in the anthology Aurora in the Dawn. For more information, including an excerpt, go here.

Curve of Her Claw

Cloaked in Shadow: Dark Tales of ElvesAppearing in the Cloaked in Shadow: Dark Tales of Elves anthology from Fantasist Enterprises, Curve of Her Claw tells the tale of a young elf trying to earn a place in the tribal memory. The elves in this dark fantasy, however, have little in common with the tall, beautiful faerie kind who often condemn humanity for brutal natures. These elves make up for their lack of the traditional virtues with a desire to improve themselves, to make their tribes stronger and more wise. A pretty goal, you might think, until you learn just how this can be accomplished.

Fall into a world where beauty is a facade, and one elf is pushed beyond reason to rid herself of the smooth-skinned curse.

Curve of Her Claw is one of many dark fantasy short stories available in Cloaked in Shadow: Dark Tales of Elves published by Fantasist Enterprises, publisher of illustrated fantasy books.
